Snow
removal insurance protects airports, municipalities, property
managers, condominium associations and many more from the financial
risks associated with extreme snowfall seasons. Furthermore,
a snow insurance policy can also be designed to protect against
the reduction in attendance and/or cancellation due to the occurrence
of snow for large single and multi-day events (i.e., trade conferences,
corporate events, holiday parties, etc.).
Conversely, this product coverage can be structured to protect against lack of snow. Some good examples of this coverage would be at ski resorts, snowmobile manufacturers and/or snow blower manufacturers whose revenues are directly tied to amount of snow that falls per season. An insurance policy can be purchased that would hedge against the financial loss if far less than average snow fell during a given season.
All-Weather Insurance Agency will assist you in determining the information needed to produce a coverage that will protect against “un-budgeted” expenses related to the removal of snow.

- Products like snowfall-per-inch or snowfall-per-storm will allow your organization the ability to offset the increased costs of snow removal during extreme winter seasons.
Snowfall-Per-Inch Coverage allows the insured the ability to select a deductible number of inches during a winter season while being compensated for any additional accumulation occurred (i.e., 50” deductible with a payout of $5,000 per inch over the set deductible).
Snow-Fall-Per-Storm coverage allows the insured the ability to define a storm in inches while selecting a set number of deductible storms allowed during a winter season (i.e., three occurrences of a six inch storm as the deductible over a winter season policy pays $20,000 per qualified storm for occurrences over the set deductible).
- Choose the date(s) of coverage, snow product of choice, limit of insurance and let All-Weather Insurance Agency do the rest. Please note that these inputs are critical in determining the rates for your coverage.
- Policy pays the agreed value if the specified weather condition occurs no gross receipts necessary - premium must be paid in full 14 days in advance.
